Transfer Internships Academic Travel

Each year, with the help of our Transfer Center, students are successfully transferring
to some of the best four-year institutions in the nation. Look at where our STEM graduates
are going:
Clarkson University

SUNY Albany College of Nanoscale Science & Engineering
SUNY New Paltz
Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT)
Boston Architectural College
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI)
Stony Brook University

Internships
The internship program at SUNY Ulster allows students to gain knowledge and experience
in exchange for academic credit. More and more employers say they want to hire graduates
with practical work experience, and an internship gives you just that – real world
experience while exploring a chosen profession. Some of our local internship placements
include:
Peak Engineering
Trevor Zoo
Ulster County ASPCA
Optimum Windows
Kingston Hospital
Benedictine Hospital
Alfandre Architecture
Walden Animal Hospital
Tectonic Engineering & Surveying
Academic Travel
Some students say academic travel is the greatest adventure of their college years.
It’s an unforgettable experience that immerses you in another culture, expands your
horizons and teaches you greater independence. We participate with Project Travel,
a peer funding program that can help pay for your academic travel, and there are also
some scholarships available. Past trips have included Ancient Astronomy in Mexico
and a Mathematical Tour of Greece, Sicily & Rome.
Did you know SUNY Ulster has a permanent research station on the Amazon?
