This course is the second course of the four semester Cisco Systems CCNP ENCORE / ENARSI program. CCNP is Cisco’s most advanced program and can lead to coveted certifications and high level positions in computer network administration. The course will introduce the concepts covered on the Cisco CCNP ENCORE (Enterprise Core) certification examination. This course will also introduce topics from the ENARSI certification examination. There is an online component to this course. After successfully completing this course, the student will be able to configure Cisco routers for operation in large or growing multiprotocol internetworks. The course includes laboratory exercises that focus primarily on scalable technologies and the Cisco IOSTM software features that are most useful in building large or growing internetworks. These features include access lists, scalable routing protocols including Routing Information Protocol version 2 (RIPv2), multi-area Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Intermediate System-to-Intermediate System (IS-IS), and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP). Students will also study route optimization, route redistribution, route summarization and advanced IP addressing management.
