Kingston Center of SUNY Ulster (KCSU)

The following offices and services are offered at the College’s Kingston Center of SUNY Ulster; SUNY Ulster’s Main Extension Center, located at 94 Marys Ave. in Kingston. At that site, the College provides an array of day, late afternoon, evening, and weekend classes.

The College offices located at KCSU are:

Adult EDge

This office coordinates and assists the College’s adult students at KCSU. This office is the liaison to many student services that are primarily at our main Stone Ridge campus.

Continuing and Professional Education

Headquartered at the Kingston Center of SUNY Ulster, this office offers a variety of professional and continuing education courses throughout the year. These include industry-recognized certification training programs; courses approved for continuing education units for licensed professionals such as engineers and architects; courses focusing on current technologies and professional skills; and personal enrichment.

Courses are conveniently scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends, either at the Stone Ridge Campus, the Kingston Center of SUNY Ulster, or off-site.

Police Basic Training

Senior Computer Learning Center (SCLC)

This program offers a wide variety of computer hardware and software workshops designed for students over 50.


Student Services at KCSU:

Admissions and Advising

Representatives from the Enrollment & Success Center (ESC) are available to meet with students at the Kingston site by appointment only. Please call ESC at 845-687-5041.

Tutoring

Tutoring is available at KCSU in office 116. Days and times will be posted by the Learning Center and posted at KCSU.

SUNY Ulster Identification Cards

SUNY Ulster identification cards are required as an ID for library usage, Kingston Center of SUNY Ulster computer lab usage, financial aid identification and disbursements, transcript requests, and for reduced rates on College events. See security at the front desk.

Computer Lab

The lab is located in Room 115 and is available to all current students, faculty, and staff. In order to gain access to the lab, a SUNY Ulster ID must be presented at the security desk. Computer lab hours will be posted on the door and at the front desk each semester and are subject to change.

Library Books

Library books can be requested and delivered to KCSU. If library books are not overdue, they may be returned to the Kingston Center as well.

Reserved Materials

If required by an instructor, reserved materials will be available at the Kingston Center of SUNY Ulster’s front desk.

Campus Store

Kingston Center of SUNY Ulster students may order through www.sunyulstershop.com and mark delivery to the store for transfer to the Kingston Center of SUNY Ulster.

Class Cancellation  

All classes at KCSU follow the College’s cancellation schedule.

Announcements of delays and cancellations will be on area radio and TV stations as well as the College’s portal, My.SUNYUlster.edu. Inclement weather cancellations will be announced by 7:00 a.m. for day classes and by 4:00 p.m. for evening classes.

Emergency

Anyone needing to contact students who are in class at the Kingston Center of SUNY Ulster can call 845-802-7186. It is helpful for the caller to have the correct course name and/or room number of the class in which the student is enrolled.

First aid kits are available. See security at the front desk.

Evacuation Procedures

In the case of an emergency, please leave the building immediately through the nearest emergency exit and take your personal belongings with you.

Miscellaneous

Watch for announcements of upcoming events during the semester. Staff at the front desk are able to answer any questions, and provide assistance.
