"I have been able to continue going to school, even through emotional and financial hardships.
I found good people in this world who found me, encouraged me, and believed in me. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for finding me."

~ Stephen, SUNY Ulster Scholarship Recipient

Giving Options

Gifts in this area provide readily available funding for the Foundation to respond to pressing needs of the college as they may arise. These gifts help to ensure a sustainable campus and student environment.

The Lights for Learning Program is a student-centered initiative that raises funds for an unexpected financial crisis that students often experience. Through emergency grants, loans, and scholarships, your gifts can make the difference in whether or not a student can continue his or her education. At risk are students who face challenges with housing, purchasing text books, car repairs, and other more extreme circumstances, such as the loss of a home to fire or other unexpected life-changing incidents.

Gifts to this fund allow opportunities to expand the student experience both academically and culturally.

From attending off-site academic programs or performing arts workshops to participating in a collaborative program for on-line study and travel abroad, your gifts provide supplemental funding to introduce our students to a larger world in which to explore and grow.

Gifts in this area are given by SUNY Ulster Alumni, current students, their parents, and other members of their families who wish to give back and support the advancement of our students.

SUNY Ulster President, Dr. Alan P. Roberts, is reaching out for support of a new opportunity to help expand access to higher education to motivated 8th-grade students throughout Ulster County. In partnership with Ulster County high schools, the program includes mentoring students throughout high school to better prepare them for a college education. Successful candidates will receive a 2-year, tuition-free, college education upon their admission to SUNY Ulster.

Your gifts will provide a solution to our students’ first obstacle – how their education will be funded! Your belief in them can change their lives!

In addition to the Foundation’s portfolio of named scholarship awards, support directed to the General Scholarship Fund provides another resource to increase scholarship opportunities to a greater number of students.
