Certified Clinical Medical Assistant

Medical assistants perform routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep the offices and clinics of physicians, podiatrists, chiropractors, and optometrists running smoothly. Medical assisting is one of the nation’s fastest growing careers, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Medical assistants have both administrative and clinical duties. They may answer the telephone, greet patients, fill out medical records and update them as needed, schedule appointments and handle correspondence and billing. On the clinical side, medical assistants often are the people who take medical histories, prepare patients for examination, assist the doctor during appointments, and perform basic laboratory tests, along with other clinical responsibilities. This course prepares students to sit for the NHA CCMA Credential. Course includes a study guide and exam for certification. Study Guide and Test Preparation Materials are included in the course's tuition.

Certified Clinical Medical Assistant with Certified Phlebotomy

Medical assistants perform routine administrative and clinical tasks to ensure the efficient operation of physician offices, healthcare clinics, and hospitals. This course not only prepares students for the National NHA CCMA Credential Certification Exam but also includes specialized training for the Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification. This course prepares students to sit for the National NHA CCMA Credential Certification Exam.

Phlebotomy Certification exam will be held on Dec 16th and the CCMA certification exam will be Dec 17th at 5:00 pm at KCSU.

Certified EKG Technician

An EKG technician is a medical professional who administers tests to record and analyze electrical impulses transmitted by the heart. This course pre­pares students to sit for the Certified EKG Technician exam (CET). Pre-requisite for certification includes high school diploma or GED/high school equivalency, this training program and evidence that you have successfully performed a minimum of ten (10) EKGs on live individuals.

EKG Certification exam will be proctored Dec 15.

Comprehensive CCMA Plus

Comprehensive Certified Clinical Medical Assistant with Certified EKG, Certified Phlebotomy, and CPR is designed to prepare students for multiple entry-level healthcare roles. The program covers patient care, medical office procedures, EKG administration, blood collection techniques, CPR certification, workplace readiness, and hands-on clinical skills. Students will also participate in review sessions, soft skills training, exam preparation, and hands-on practice while preparing for national certification exams.

Certification exam for CCMA will be Dec 17 starting at 5:30pm at KCSU.

Phlebotomy Technician

This 90-hour Phlebotomy Technician Program prepares professionals to collect blood specimens from clients for the purpose of laboratory analysis. Students will become familiar with all aspects related to blood collection and develop comprehensive skills to perform venipunctures completely and safely. Classroom and lab work includes terminology, anatomy and physiology; blood collection procedures; specimen hands-on practice; and training in skills and techniques to perform puncture methods. Textbook is included with the course.

Certification exam will be held on Dec 16th at 5:30 pm at KCSU
