1. Clean Energy Technology Training and Energy Efficiency
The college has expanded offerings in the fast-growing clean energy area with solar photovoltaics (PV) courses geared toward training installers and contractors, technical sales specialists, and engineers focused on solar electric systems design.

CASAC (CREDENTIALED ALCOHOL & SUBSTANCE ABUSE COUNSELOR PROGRAM)
SUNY Ulster is an approved training provider by the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services Academy (OASAS). This non-credit program trains students to work as counselors with alcoholics and other chemically dependent people. These training courses can also enhance the skills of human services professionals including social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists, rehabilitation counselors, mental health counselors, substance abuse counselors, marriage and family therapists, and school counselors. 3. Notary Public Workshop
This class, endorsed by the American Society of Notaries, prepares students to pass the New York State notary exam and provides a comprehensive view of the notary public office. Confusing laws, concepts, and procedures are explained in plain English. Learn about the day to- day issues one would face in serving as a notary, avoid conflicts of interest, maintain professional ethics, charge proper fees, and know when to defer to an attorney. 4. Home Inspection
Learn how to become a home inspector! This course covers it all! Learn how to either open your own home inspection company or to acquire the skills and training necessary to join an established company. This course covers structures/basements, roofing, plumbing, electrical, heating, as well as how to run your own business. This course is taught per the ASHI, NAHI, and CREIA standards. This online course for professional bookkeepers leads to national certification with the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers (AIPB). The AIPB certification is a high professional standard and the only national standard for bookkeepers. Becoming a Certified Bookkeeper (CB) can increase earning potential, enhance professional status, and offer a decisive edge in any job market. This course was created by the AIPB to prepare experienced bookkeepers for the certification exam at any Prometric Test Center. Small Business Development Center
SBDC serves Ulster, Sullivan, Orange, Greene, Delaware, and Dutchess counties. The Center is a joint venture between the Small Business Administration and SUNY. Its primary goal is to provide no-cost, one-to-one counseling, training, and researching services to small businesses to assist in their start-up, expansion, or turnaround. Call SBDC at 845-339-0025. SCORE MENTORS to America's Small Businesses is located at the Business Resource Center. This award winning local chapter is sponsored by SUNY Ulster and the Ulster County Chamber of Commerce. SCORE brings volunteer business people with managerial and technical expertise together with owners and managers of small businesses. Pre-business counseling is an important part of the free service.
