SUNY Ulster is a founding member of the Hudson Valley Educational Consortium, which allows us to bring emergency responder and innovative technology programs
from other community colleges in the region to our campus
A collaborative effort of SUNY Ulster, Orange, Rockland and Sullivan Community Colleges, the Hudson Valley Educational Consortium creates aims to create broader access to academic programs and workforce training throughout the four county region.
Hudson Valley Educational Consortium programs and courses are distance learning programs that incorporate on-line, interactive video technology and hands on training. Interactive video (IV) technology offers a versatile tool that enables television based distance learning via student participation in IV equipped classrooms. The Consortium classroom allows students at distinct locations to experience real time instruction and simultaneously, the ability to interact with the instructor and students at all IV classroom locations. The Hudson Valley Educational Consortium has ten video training technology equipped classrooms at the member Community College campuses.
