Coach Lombardo joined the SUNY Ulster staff in the Fall of 2015 to lead the Cross Country program. In two years, five of his runners have earned All-Conference nominations, while Keith Kortright and Samual Burt competed in the Division III National Championship in 2016. Coach Lombardo has over 39 years of Cross Country Coaching experience. Prior to Ulster, he was the Head Cross Country Coach at Rhineback High School for three years, and was also an Industrial Arts/Technology teacher for 33 years, before retiring in 2010.
Coach Lombardo has certifications as a USATF Level 3 Coach as well as IAAF Level 5. He holds an A.S. from NYC Community College, a Bachelors in Industrial Education from NYU and a M.A. from NYU in Industrial Education. He is also a volunteer for the Boy Scouts of Saugerties and for the Adaptive Sports Foundation at Windham Mountain. He and his wife have been married for 31 years and have three children.
