(Full and Part-time)
General Information for Faculty
NEW! E-Res
Electronic Reserves
Electronic reserves allows specific course materials to be
available to students 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, through
the E-Res link on the main page of the library web site, http://eres.sunyulster.edu/eres/.
Documents requested by faculty are scanned by library staff
and posted as PDF files. Microsoft Office files and links
to other web sites can also be posted. Access to documents
is limited to students in a specific class by use of a password
designated by the instructor. Contact the library for the
Electronic Reserves Request form and copyright guidelines, or click here to download a copy.

Books & Periodicals
Search Catalist,
SUNY Ulster's Online Catalog to determine what books,
magazines, and journals the library owns. Books will be loaned
for the semester except McNaughton books (3 weeks), videos (usually overnight), and reference
material (usually 2 days).
Closed Reserve
Instructors may place books, articles and other materials on closed reserve in the library for the use of students in their classes. The instructor may specify the length of time, in hours or days, that material may be loaned. Unless otherwise specified, materials are kept on closed reserve for one semester and then returned to the library stacks or the instructor, depending on who owns the material.
Copyright
A good source of information about fair use of copyrighted works and obtaining permission to use them is available online at http:www.cetus.org/fairindex.html. The reference staff is available to help locate further information.
Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
If SUNY Ulster does not have the books and/or articles which you need, we may obtain this material for you through interlibrary loan (ILL). Please ask the reference librarians for ILL request forms or use the electronic ILL form. It usually takes 7-14 days to receive items.
