The Library Media Room
The Library Media Room, located in DEW 017 (with access from inside the library, as well as from the hallway of Burroughs Hall), is a great place for faculty to use as a media classroom.
The Library's multimedia viewing room is equipped with an LCD projector. One computer with a hookup to the Internet, a cable television feed with approximately 50 channels, including the History Channel, C-Span, CNN and HBO, and a combination VCR/DVD player, each can be connected to the LCD projector for on-screen viewing. The Media Room is an excellent place to screen Films On Demand, a database of thousands of streaming videos covering a wide array of subjects, and Theatre in Video, which includes more than 250 full-length plays. Call the Circulation Desk (x5213) to make a reservation for this room.
Library staff members are available
to assist faculty members with the equipment. If you would
like to find out more about the Media Room, to schedule a
time for your class to use the room, or to arrange a personal
tour of the facility, please contact Lisa Fabiano by e-mail
at fabianol@sunyulster.edu,
