DESCRIPTION: SUNY Ulster seeks an experienced instructor of nursing with recent acute-care medical surgical and ICU experience. This position reports to the Department Chair of Nursing. To teach 15 credits per semester, maintain office hours, provide advisement to students, assist in curriculum development and review, and participate in College and professional development activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree in Nursing with a concentration in education required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Two to five years experience in education at the A.D.N. or B.S. level is preferred.

THEATRE

This is a full-time tenure track position beginning Fall 2012. Excellent benefits package.
DESCRIPTION: Candidate must possess a strong background in performance and dramatic literature as well as administrative experience to serve as director of AA program in Theatre Arts. The teaching load will include the following courses: Acting I, Acting II, Introduction to Theatre, Theatre Workshop, and basic speech communication. As Program Coordinator will oversee and develop curriculum, hire adjuncts and technical staff for program productions, direct two shows per year, and assist with program recruitment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree in Fine Arts; college teaching experience required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: MFA in Directing or Ph.D.; three years college teaching experience preferred. Technical theatre knowledge and/or experience highly desirable.

PROFESSIONAL INSTRUCTORS – PT for the Drinking Driver Program (DDP) at SUNY Ulster County Community College. Evening and weekend classes held over 7-week cycles. DESCRIPTION: This position reports to the Department Chair of Math, Sciences, Engineering and Industrial Technology and supports the Chair in carrying out his/her responsibilities; assists Math and Science department faculty in the performance of their teaching and non-teaching duties; manages the department’s laboratories, equipment, and chemical stores; and oversees chemical safety and chemical waste management in all academic areas of the college
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry; experience working in inorganic and organic chemistry labs; willingness to undergo chemical health and safety training to be certified as a Chemical Hygiene Officer (if not already); ability to work independently; and strong written and verbal communication skills required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in Chemistry; experience with chemical purchasing, storage, and waste management procedures; and familiarity with NY State and Federal chemical health and safety regulations preferred.
