Maintenance

The Department of Plant Operations is responsible for all aspects of buildings and grounds maintenance for approximately 400,000 square feet of building space and 165 acres of campus property, including the President’s residence and housekeeping services at the Business Resource Center in Kingston.  This includes grounds maintenance, mechanical and electrical maintenance, housekeeping services, structural repairs, heating and air conditioning, locksmithing and campus event set ups.

Our mission is to provide a safe, clean and optimum learning and working environment for our campus community.  We seek to achieve this goal through quality workmanship, teamwork, foresight and innovation in caring for the physical environment of our campus.  We will foster the College’s continuous improvement and will fully support all of the programs which sustain its educational mission.  Our maintenance and housekeeping staff are of the highest quality and are sincerely dedicated to fulfilling this mission.

To request service, please fill out a work order request form and send to the office at Algonquin 113.  Safety and health issues are our first priority and should be communicated to us via phone; all other requests will be addressed as soon as possible.  In case of emergency, please call either the office at extension 5200, the switchboard or security who will forward the information to us via radio.
