Using your words and drawings you will be able to lay out a book dummy from the front and back covers, title page and content pages to the decorative end pages. Painting the portrait in Adobe Illustrator (CS2) is a course of study for students with prior Illustrator experience and a brave heart! Using all the knowledge and skills acquired in previous Adobe Illustrator courses students will become proficient in creating a self portrait, portrait of a friend or loved one, or of a famous person. We will explore the gradient mesh tool. working with layers, opacity masks, transparency, drawing with the pen tool and gradients to create the final product...the portrait. The student needs to bring a photograph (color or black and white) of the subject that can be either scanned or a previously digitized photo to begin. Intrigued?
