SUNY Ulster - Student Government Organization (SGO)

Student Government Organization (SGO)

"Communication is the key." SUNY Ulster's Student Government Organization maintains a cooperative relationship among students, faculty, staff, and the outside community and works to ensure that the social needs and responsibilities of individual students are being met.

SGO is comprised of an Executive Branch, a Judicial Branch with a Judiciak Council consisting of five students, and a Legislative Branch with a Student Senate incorporating one student representative from each active, chartered organization on campus plus five student representatives not associated with any organization.

In addition to providing oversight of student organizations and events, SGO evaluates and approves budget requests, supervises student elections, and appoints students for representative membership to the College's standing committees.

The SGO Office is located in Vanderlyn Hall (VAN 110). Our phone number is (845) 687-5255, and we can be reached by e-mail at: sgo@sunyulster.edu

2010 - 2011 SGO

Meetings are at 1:00 p.m., in VAN 112. All students are invited and welcome to attend. Join us in becoming an active player in your college experience.
