Facilities
At SUNY Ulster, the Senate Gymnasium provides a home for our Men and Women's basketball program as well as the Women's Volleyball program. The gym is also used by all other sports during inclement weather and the winter season. Thus both baseball and softball teams practice indoors during the winter in order to get ready for their season outdoors. The Senate Gymnasium is also home to the SUNY Ulster Weight Training facility and Nautilus room (for open hours, see below) and also has a stage where several health oriented and living-well programs are offered to both students, staff and faculty members.
The Men and Women's Soccer team use the main soccer field which is adjacent to the Senate Gymnasium and it is a part of the Luis Berger Athletic Field Complex, which encompasses our baseball and softball fields as well as our ultra modern state of the art Tennis Courts.
All of our facilities are open to students and staff. Students, staff and faculty are all welcome to use our facilities and they have the privileges upon providing ID's to borrow equipment for most any sport or activity they would like to undertake. There are also locker rooms for staff and faculty as well as all of our student body. Vending machines are also located on the premises so that the long walk to the cafeteria can be avoided. Students, Staff and Faculty are always invited to use our facilities for any athletic endeavor they wish to undertake.
In the past and the future the Senate Gymnasium also served as a convention center and it housed many non-athletic events as well such as the Science Olympiad, Quilt Show, Business to Business Convention and many more. We are proud to share our facilities with the community we serve.

The Nautilus room is open to Students, Faculty and Staff during the following hours:
Mondays & Wednesdays ~ 9:00 am - 12 noon and 1:00 - 5:00 pm
Tuesdays and Thursdays ~ 9:00 - 11:30 am and 12:30 - 5:00 pm
Friday ~ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
