SCIENCE OLYMPIAD

THE MID-HUDSON REGIONAL
DIVISION C

SUNY Ulster's Olympiad is part of the National Science Olympiad Program which had its first National Olympiad in 1985. The program has grown to involve all 50 states (and Ontario) with over 14,000 schools participating. (To view the official website of the New York State Science Olympiad, click here.) The tournament consists of both individual and team events designed to encourage increased participation in the areas of math, science, and technology. The top 3 finishing teams are invited to participate in the New York State Olympiad. Top finishers will then move on to the National Competition.

2010 Science Olympiad Results Announced ... On Saturday, February 6, 2010, thirty local high schools sent teams to SUNY Ulster for the Science Olympiad.the results have been tabulated and the results for the Competition are as follows.

  • 1. Spackenkill High School
  • 2. Goshen High School
  • 3. John Jay High School
  • 4. Kingston High School

The top 4 teams will go on to the State competition at West Point. The Spirit Award for Saturday's event has yet to be determined.
