Commuting To Campus

SUNY Ulster has ample parking lots, and all parking is free.
Parking Permits can be obtained at the Office of Safety & Security in the Hasbrouck Hall Lobby.

Public Transportation
        Ulster County Rural Transportation serves the Kingston, New Paltz, and Ellenville areas.


You can purchase bus passes at the Student Accounts Office located in Vanderlyn Hall, Room 204.  The office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.  ​The cost per pass is $15 (20 rides at 75 cents per ride).  This is the new rate started this January representing a 50% discount for students for their ride to or from any SUNY Ulster campus, including the main campus in Stone Ridge, the new Kingston Center or the Business Resource Center.  Students will be required to show their SUNY Ulster ID along with the bus pass upon boarding​ as well as when purchasing a bus pass​.  Students can pay the discounted rate in cash or by using the bus pass.
