The Main Campus, Stone Ridge, New York: SUNY Ulster main campus is located at 491 Cottekill Road, in Stone Ridge, New York, and can be reached in a number of ways.From the South via the New York
State Thruway:
(There are two routes from the south. If
you get off the Thruway at New Paltz, Exit 18, the trip is
about 10 miles shorter, but possibly confusing to those not
familiar with the area. The other option is to get off the
Thruway at Kingston, Exit 19, for a more direct route. Both
routes are listed below.)
~Easiest Route, From Exit 19, Kingston
From the New York State Thruway Kingston
toll plaza (Exit 19), take your first right onto Route
28 West, continue a short distance and get onto Route
209 South. Take Route 209 for 9.6 miles to the traffic
light at Cottekill Road. (Note: The sign for Cottekill
Road is being replaced at this time. At the traffic light,
you will see the Davenport Farms farmstand on your left.)
Make a left and go about 1/4 mile. The main entrance
to the College will be on your right.
~ Shorter Route, From Exit 18, New Paltz
Get off at Exit 18, New Paltz, and go through
the toll booth to the "T" intersection of Route
299. Make a left (west) towards New Paltz. Make
a right onto Route 32 North. Continue north, about
7 miles over two small bridges, to the intersection
of Route 213 West, in Rosendale. Make a left onto
Route 213 West (Main Street, Rosendale) and continue 1.8
miles, and make a right onto County Road 26A, Cottekill
Road. (There is a sign for the College at this intersection.)
Continue up the hill to the "T" in the road and
make a left. (You will still be on Cottekill Road.) Go about
1/4 mile to the Stop sign, then straight across the intersection
of Lucas Avenue, and continue about 1 mile. The main entrance
to the College will be on your left.
From the North via the New York
State Thruway:
Get off at Exit 19, Kingston, go
through the toll booth, and take your first right onto
Route 28 West, continue a short distance and get on
Route 209 South. Take Route 209 for 9.6 miles to
the traffic light at Cottekill Road. (Note: The sign
for Cottekill Road is being replaced at this time. At the
traffic light, you will see the Davenport Farms farmstand
on your left.) Make a left and go about 1/4 mile.
The main entrance to the College will be on your right.
From Kingston, NY, and points north:
From Route 28, get onto Route 209 South.
Take Route 209 for 9.6 miles to the traffic light at Cottekill
Road. (Note: The sign for Cottekill Road is being replaced
at this time. At the traffic light, you will see the Davenport
Farms farmstand on your left.) Make a left and go about
1/4 mile. The main entrance to the College will be on
your right.
From Rhinecliff/Rhinebeck, NY, Northern
Dutchess County and points east:
Cross the Hudson River on the Kingston/Rhinecliff
Bridge and continue south on NYS 199, which
becomes Route 209 South at Kingston. Stay on Route
209 for 9.6 miles to the traffic light at Cottekill Road.
(Note: The sign for Cottekill Road is being replaced at
this time. At the traffic light, you will see the Davenport
Farms farmstand on your left.) Make a left and go about
1/4 mile. The main entrance to the College will be on
your right.
From Woodstock, NY, and points northwest:
From the northwestern areas of Ulster County
and beyond, take Route 28 East towards Kingston. At
the intersection of Route 28 and Route 209 South, get onto
Route 209 South for 9.6 miles to the traffic light
at Cottekill Road. (Note: The sign for Cottekill Road
is being replaced at this time. At the traffic light, you
will see the Davenport Farms farmstand on your left.)
Make a left and go about 1/4 mile. The main entrance
to the College will be on your right.
From Ellenville, NY and points south:
Take Route 209 North to Stone Ridge.
You will pass a traffic light at the intersection of Route
213 from High Falls/Rosendale. Continue north on 209 through
the town of Stone Ridge to the next traffic light at Cottekill
Road. (Note: The sign for Cottekill Road is being replaced
at this time. At the traffic light, you will see the Davenport
Farms farmstand on the other side of the intersection, on
the right.) Make a right. The main entrance to
the College will be about 1/4 mile on your right.
From Rosendale, New Paltz, and Poughkeepsie,
NY, and points east:
From Poughkeepsie, eastern and southern
Dutchess County, and points east, cross the Hudson River
on the Mid-Hudson Bridge (Poughkeepsie to Highland) and
bear right onto Route 9W North. Continue to the intersection
with Route 299. Make a left onto 299, heading west
towards New Paltz. (NOTE:
For those not familiar with the area, you could get on
the NYS thruway here and go north to Exit 19, Kingston. This
will make the trip about 10 miles longer, but is an easier
route to follow. Click here for

After passing over the NYS Thruway, go about 1 mile into the village. Make a right onto Route 32 North. Continue north, about 7 miles over two small bridges, to the intersection of Route 213 West, in Rosendale. Make a left onto Route 213 West (Main Street, Rosendale) and continue 1.8 miles, and make a right onto County Road 26A, Cottekill Road. (There is a sign for the College at this intersection.) Continue up the hill to the "T" in the road and make a left. (You will still be on Cottekill Road.) Go about 1/4 mile to the Stop sign, then straight across the intersection of Lucas Avenue, and continue about 1 mile. The main entrance to the College will be on your left.
The Business Resource Center, Kingston, New York The Business Resource Center (BRC) is located at One Development Court in Kingston, New York.
From the NYS Thruway Exit 19 (Kingston):
From the Thruway traffic circle, take the
Broadway/Kingston exit (Chandler Drive, Route 587).
At the first traffic light, turn left onto Albany Avenue
and continue for 8 traffic lights. The Business
Development Center will be located on your left, at One
Development Court (the Ulster County office complex). Landmarks
on the left include McDonald's and the King's Valley Diner
and Pancake House (formerly Texas Diner). The BRC is at the
extreme left of the Development Court complex.
From Route 209 North (from Ellenville):
Take the Kingston exit (Route 28 East)
to the traffic circle. Take the Broadway/Kingston exit
(Chandler Drive, Route 587). At the first traffic light,
turn left onto Albany Avenue and continue for 8 traffic
lights. The Business Development Center will be located
on your left, at One Development Court (the Ulster County
office complex). Landmarks on the left include McDonald's
and the King's Valley Diner and Pancake House (formerly Texas
Diner). The BRC is at the extreme left of the Development
Court complex.
From Route 9W South (Port Ewen and
points south):
Drive north to Kingston, until you reach
a "T" at the intersection of Route 9W with Route
32/Flatbush Avenue. Turn left at this traffic light. At
the next traffic light turn right (Dairy Mart will
be on your right) and continue on Route 9W and the East
Chester Street Bypass. At the second traffic light,
turn left onto Ulster Avenue. Continue on Ulster Avenue
just under one mile. The Business Resource Center
will be on your right. The BRC is at the extreme left
of the Development Court complex.
From Route 9W North (Saugerties
and points north):
Drive south on Route 9W (right
lane for Ulster Avenue) and bear right at the intersection
with the East Chester Street By-pass. Go over the Conrail
Bridge on Ulster Avenue, and continue south 3 traffic lights;
the BRC will be on your right. The BRC is at the extreme
left of the Development Court complex.
From Route 9 (Northern Dutchess
County):
Drive west on Route 199 across the Kingston-Rhinecliff
Bridge. Take the Route 9W South exit and drive
south on Route 9W (right lane for Ulster Avenue)
and bear right at the intersection with the East Chester
Street By-pass. Go over the Conrail Bridge on Ulster Avenue,
and continue south 3 traffic lights; the BRC will
be on your right. The BRC is at the extreme left of the
Development Court complex.
