Special Admissions Programs

SUNY Ulster accepts students in a number of special programs that offer full tuition scholarships, provide high school students with an opportunity to take college courses, and present intellectual challenge or develop college readiness skills.

Start Here!

  • College Scholars Program: receive a full tuition scholarships to attend SUNY Ulster if you graduate in the top 10% of your Ulster County high school class.
  • Collegian Program: earn college credit while taking SUNY Ulster courses at your high school.
  • Early Admissions: complete your senior year of high school on the SUNY Ulster campus.
  • Fresh Start: return to SUNY Ulster and begin again with a new grade point average.
  • Honors Studies: enjoy the exhilaration of intellectual challenge as part of our Honors learning community.
  • Intermediate Studies: develop your reading, math, writing and study skills to help ensure your college success.
  • Joint Admissions: connect now with advisors for support and assistance with the transfer process if you are planning to transfer to SUNY New Paltz, University at Albany or Plattsburgh State.
  • Reaching Independence through Supportive Education (RISE): realize successful college completion and job readiness in this cooperative program with the college and Ulster County Department of Social Services.
