Distance Learning Students

If you are a visiting student and would like to take a selected distance learning course, then simply register now by going to Online Program and Courses. If you are a current SUNY Ulster student you may register for these courses after approval from your advisor to ensure these meet your program requirements.

SUNY Ulster also offers the opportunity to complete its associate's degree in individual studies entirely online. Called OASIS (Online Associate in Science Degree in Individual Studies) it is the best way for many adults earn a degree while saving travel time and expense and managing work and family obligations. As an applicant to OASIS, you must:

  • Meet all Admission Requirements
  • Complete the Intent to Enroll Form
  • Submit the nonrefundable enrollment fee of $250
  • Complete all admission and financial aid documents a minimum of three weeks before the beginning of the semester.

Each subsequent semester you enroll you will automatically be billed for a nonrefundable advisement and evaluation fee of $25.

As a transfer student to the OASIS program, you may have a maximum of 31 applicable academic credits brought in to SUNY Ulster. A minimum of six of the remaining 30 academic credits for the degree must be completed with SUNY Ulster classes, while the remaining 24 credits must be met with SUNY Learning Network courses.
