Concurrent Enrollment

If you are in high school or if you have not yet reached "maximum" compulsory school attendance age and you would like to enroll in SUNY Ulster coursework outside of the Collegian or Early Admissions Programs, then you:

  • Must provide a letter from your guidance counselor to SUNY Ulster's Director of Admissions each semester, acknowledging interest in concurrent enrollment and indicating the subject area (s) and specific course title(s).
  • Must meet established criteria for course selection and enrollment;
  • Must complete SUNY Ulster's Entering Student Assessment to enroll in English or Mathematics coursework. Enrollment in ENG 101 (College English I) is determined by placement testing results. If you wish to enroll in ENG 102 (College English II) you must have successfully completed ENG 101 and must enroll in the co-requisite course LIB 111 (Information Literacy);
  • Will be enrolled as a non-matriculated student in part-time study; and
  • Will not be eligible to apply for or receive financial aid.
